LA PALAPA RESTAURANTE BAR is attractively furnished with an ample deck where you can enjoy your food and drink overlooking the Bay. The restaurant has been serving Kino Bay's residents and visitors since 1982. Located on the beach next to the largest grouping of Palapas in New Kino, the restaurant is easy to locate. The Palapa offers a menu of fresh fish and shellfish, beef and chicken accompanied by wine, beer, lemonade or soda. Manuel Cota is the owner and manager and will do everything he can to make you comfortable while you enjoy your the fruits of Kino Bay or the best of Sonora's steak and chicken. The selections include a variety of fresh, seafood cocktails, ceviches, tostadas, tacos and, of course, chicken and beef dishes, including hamburgers for those who long for basic American food. Tacos Bar is also a favorite place for resident North Americans to have breakfast. Four dollars will get you a main breakfast selection, a plate of fresh fruits and all the coffee you can drink. No surprise here. Taco's bar is a Bar with a selection of wines and ice cold beer. Ask for David Cota, the owner. He is almost always there and wants you to enjoy your stay in Kino Bay. Taco's is located about half way along the boulevard in New Kino .. right across the street from the water.
RESTAURANT COSTA AZUL is located on the boulevard in old Kino Bay, just one block from the beach (Corner of Tastiota and Boulevard Kino del Mar). The restaurant specializes in Mexican "Anotojitos" (tacos, tostados, chimichangas, burros made with beef, machaca, chicken and pork and garnished with chopped tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage etc.), traditional soups as menudo and posole, and a variety of Sonora style and American breakfasts. The restaurant is open from 8AM to 12:00PM everyday. The owner, Cenobia Felix Machado has been operating the restaurant for 30 years and enjoys her American customers. She particularly enjoys preparing meals for visiting groups. Just give her a little time and she will put up a delicious Mexican meal for your group at a very reasonable price. Telephone (662) 242-0565. POLLO FELIZ specializes in charcoal broiled chicken basted in a delicious marinade. Typical orders are for half or whole chickens that come with flour tortillas made fresh daily in their own tortillaria. Take it out or eat it there in the comfortable, air conditioned dining area. Up for hearty beef dishes, you'll see the big grill smoking with mesquite charcoal when they start preparing the ultimate Sonoran dish, Carne Asada. The restaurant, operated by María Beatriz Guerra Zazueta (ask for "Chacha"), also has a selection of cold drinks, snacks and small gifts and souvenirs. El Pollo Feliz is located at the main intersection between Kino Highway and Boulevard Kino del Mar in Old Kino ... The "stop sign." It is right across the intersection from the Pemex Station. Kino Bay Jorge's Restaurant After 20 years as an outstanding Chef (and singer) Jorge and his family acquired the Kino Bay Restaurant. Located near the end of the Boulevard in New Kino, Jorge's is right on the beach affording a magnificent view while you dine inside or outside on the new deck and patio. Jorge offers a full selection of dishes prepared from freshly caught fish and shellfish ... Steamed Clams are a favorite. The menu also includes T-bone steak, fried chicken, pork chops and Sonoran antojitos. A favorite place for breakfast with all the "serve it yourself" coffee you can drink. The restaurant is complemented by a complete bar and live music ... Jorge, himself, will sing for you if you coax him a little. "La Casa De La Margarita Grande!" RESTAURANTE MARLYN offer's "haute cuisine" at moderate prices. Surprise! The attractive restaurant and bar is located in Old Kino (Kino del Mar). The Maitre D', Sammy Perez, says, you can enjoy the delicious food from the menu or just ask him for his "selections of the day" that he creates from his experience with international cooking. Regular menu items include lobster, shrimp, fresh fish, scallops and of course, a big thick, juicy and tender Sonora steak. Soups, salads, ceviches, and on and on. The decor is complemented by an attractive bar and a display of the fine wines offered in the restaurant. From Kino Highway and the "stop sign" take Calle Guaymas (see our map) toward the water.
